Peer support group facilitators
Our Strength Found Program is led by trained peer support facilitators. This role may be a perfect fit for you if you are looking for an opportunity to use your lived experience, help others that may be struggling and/or improve your own skills as a facilitator/leader.
We provide extensive and hands on training for this role and adhere to the highest standards of peer support.
Time commitment
Groups run in 15 week cycles and we ask for a minimum 6 month commitment.
Groups are normally held in the evenings and require approximately 4 hours a week time commitment.

Training
Training is mandatory and you will attend group as an observer prior to co-leading a group.

Outreach support

You enjoy meeting all kinds of people in a variety of situations, are a confident communicator, comfortable managing questions you may not have answers for and are dependable.
We attend a number of activities throughout the year and are always looking for people who would like to help represent our organization. Most often this would involve being at a resource table greeting attendees, answering questions and supporting staff.
Time Commitment
The amount of time onsite will vary according to the event.
Training
All volunteers will attend training that will provide them with confidence to assist in representing our organization.
