Support for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse.

We are thrilled to announce a new program for adults who were sexually abused as children. It’s been a long time in the making and thanks to generous funding from a private family foundation, we can finally offer this much needed support.

Strength Found is comprised of a number of offerings including; 1:1 peer support, workshops, social activities and facilitated peer group programs. It provides opportunities to connect with others who have similar experiences and to create a community of empowered survivors. This program has been informed and developed by people with lived experience and an integral part of it is peer support. As survivors of child sexual abuse, we understand the feelings of shame, isolation and the trauma that is a result of what was done to you.

Due to COVID-19, we are currently offering the following services virtually:

One to One Peer Support. As survivors of child sexual abuse, we understand the complexities and challenges of healing. Individual peer support is an effective first step and together with your peer supporter you will work in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment to recognize and develop the tools you need as part of your healing process.

Peer Support Groups: We will be launching online peer support groups, one for female identified participants, and one for male identified participants. These groups will be facilitated by a trained peer supporter and will provide a safe place for peers to share and be part of a community.

Online Workshops: We also invite all our participants to our online workshops starting early June.

The first step to participate in Strength Found programs is to register with us and complete an intake.

To find out more about Strength Found you can check our program page.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Congratulations for taking the first step! Before you continue, please know that we can only provide these services to people who were sexually abused as children and/or commercially sexually exploited as a child. Once you have completed this registration you will be contacted by the program manager to complete the intake process.
